Robotics: Industry 4.0 Robot

Description

CO-ROBOTICS is introducing IOCAT, an innovative generation of robotic platforms conceived for Factory4.0 applications, designed to improve modularity and flexibility of use as never done before due to the use of “Cresco”frames and state of the art software based on Linux and ROS middleware.

Application and market size

The smart factory market size, in terms of value, is expected to reach USD 74.80 Billion by 2022 while service robot market would rise to USD 23.90 Billion by 2022. Professional service robots held the largest market share  including logistics and tele-presence robots.

Innovative features and advantages

IOCAT is open for developers and customers which can be easily assembled to build up the robot even by end-users. Customers can purchase an existing robot design, ask for customization of even customise it themselves at any time.
The open Cresco frame creates the opportunity to customise the robot using 3-D printers and optionally recycled plastic.
Frames, electronics and sensors can be plugged or removed during the robot life-cycle to adapt functionalities, services of form-factors to the users’ needs.
Nowadays robots have a pre-determined design or a main application of use and only few customizations are possible.
IOCAT is different.
